Does Wal-Mart really suck? Let's hear your opinion.

Shop somewhere else!!!! If you complain EVERY DAY, but shop EVERY DAY at Walmart, do you really think that things will change?!?!? OMG, the lines are too long, OMG, they are always out of stuff, etc., etc. Having a full buggy of stuff every week or more only endorses the fact that you are happy at Walmart. And of course the excuses will follow, there is nowhere else to go, I don't want to travel an extra 3 miles, etc. etc. Its called sacrifice and making your dollar count. What happened to the days when we as a country got together and stood up for what was wrong?!?!? Now, we all just take the broomstick from big corporations, big goverment, etc. and just shrug our shoulders. :x Cmon people, wake up before its too late!!

When you are standing in a checkout line the is clear back into softlines and there is only 4 belts open and maybe 6 express, whip out your cell phone and call 1-800-walmart right there on the spot. The more people call and complain, the sooner something will be done about it. If no one is complaining to the corp office, they will continue to not schedule enough cashiers.

If there is no one in hardware to mix a gallon of paint because they are up on a register, whip out your cell phone and call 1-800-walmart and complain.

If you are given a hard time at customer service for a legitimate return, whip out your cell phone right on the spot and call 1-800-walmart and complain.

The more people that start doing this, the sooner walmart will pull their heads out of their asses and do something about it.

If the products you used to buy are no longer available, whip out your cell phone and call 1-800-walmart and complain about it.

Leaving full carts of products and walking out isn't sending them the message. You need to call them and tell them you are doing this and why. The phone calls and the lost sales will get their attention.

Agreed, and people dont just tell the Store Manager, half of them don't give a crap and are just looking for a big bonus, and the other half may care, but can't really do anything about it because of the Walmart policies in place. :| . And if everyone who had a bad experience didn't walk into a Walmart for 2 weeks or more at a time, then maybe perhaps changes will come. I just go crazy listening to people who tell me " I've been here 3 times this week. its bad every time" Well then, how about trying another store :x :x :x . Nothing will chanbge as long as you are spending money there!! ( and don't say that there is no other place to go. Try the Mom and Pop stores and spend an extra 20 cents for the cans of peas, you'll be making a difference as well as hurting Walmart where it hurts!)

A boycott?? I don't think that this country is ready for that. But perhaps if people just expected more and spent thier hard earned money where the customer isn't a bother then maybe......

I like this approach and I will do it! I agree also with the other post, telling the store mgr. is useless. Nothing will happen there, at least with the 1-800-# the HO will have a record of how disgruntled the customers have become.

I don't shop at my Wal-Mart anymore! Every time I get off of my shift and I want to buy something I have to wait in line for over 8 minutes, usually, and I have to stop and wait in line for the door greeter to check the items in my bag and my receipt. One day I go so pissed off for having to wait in line in the morning, I threw all of my items on the next register over, that was empty, and yelled out "SCREW THIS, I'M SICK OF THIS SHIT." I was so pissed because we have NO CASHIERS ON THIRD but they make ALL REGISTERED TRAINED people go up front and ring a customer out when there's only 3 of them in line.

And I'm sick and fucking tired of having to show my damn receipt to the 98 year old door greeter~~~Bottom line Wal-Mart, you don't trust your employees to not steal from you, I don't trust you to look after my best interest as an employee! I will gladly take your fucking money to a local competitor who I don't work for! I don't care if I have to spend a little more money on a few items. You let your customers get away with high priced items, while I've seen you fire employees for stealing a loaf of bread because your fucking wages are so pathetic!

Also, to expand upon the advice offered in this thread, go a little further and buy a few clothing items that are made in THE USA! I buy a lot of my clothes from the following websites: allamericanclothing.com and unionlabel.com.

Another way to stop the beast from screwing American workers out of jobs is to buy products that are made here in our country.

That would be a great idea, but in the town where I work there isn't anything open at 10 or 11PM when I usually get off work.

Its not possible to do it every day, when nothing else is open, then yeah, you go. But during the day, even only once a week for a gallon of milk, try somewhere else, the mom and pop, the gas station. If everyone did that who was upset with Walmart policies, then perhaps things will change, slowly yes, but change nonetheless.

I have decided not to shop at the walmart I work for either. But I was thinking if you gave them your discount card and told them this is useless since I will not shop here and shop somewhere else. I know they can fire you for anything but can they coach you for it? I mean by giving it to them that shows them that atleast a employee and potential customer has chosen to shop somewhere else. and im sure everyone knows walmart cares only about money.

So funny. There were a bunch of us talking about this in the breakroom just today! We said, we don't care if we even half to pay a little more without a discount, but we didn't want to buy a damn thing from walmart with the way they are treating us. Trust me, ALOT of associates feel this way, customers too. Kroger is right next door to our walmart and I now go over there when I get off work for the same prices, cleaner stores, happier friendlier employees, and good merchandise. I often also see other walmart employees in their shopping when I do, we smile and laugh when we see each other there.

That sounds good but with the way they are treating thier employees today, I'd be careful about that. You get some dickhead manager who says to the SM " if so and so doesn't want to shop here and turned in his card, then is he really someone who we want to work here, don't worry mr. king leader Store Manager master sir, i'll take care of it for you  ) If the customers respected themselves enough to take thier dollars elsewhere, it'll all be good

Yes, things have changed in this area...There are five (5) super centers, and all five are cutting staff and hours. Seems that payroll is suppose to be a percentage of sales. Even with reducing hourly employees, they are now cutting hours because sales are just not there..The other grocery stores in this area are reporting an increase in there sales, as much as 13 percent. This was reported in our local news. Those increased sales came from somewhere...

Hey, Home Office. How do you task "lost sales". How much time do we allot for that?
Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
